Student Housing Experience Focus Group

Renting off campus? We want to hear about your experience. We’re inviting undergraduate students to share their housing experience. We want to learn what information students have before signing a lease, what can be difficult to find, and what would help them make more informed housing decisions. What You’ll Get 🎁 Attend the full focus group and receive a $30 e-gift card of your choice. Your input will also help shape WUSA’s housing advocacy and future recommendations about making rental building information easier for students to access. What will we talk about? Topics will include: How you find information about rental buildings What you want to know before signing a lease Building conditions and maintenance Inspection and property standards information Whether building ratings or an online map would be useful What information could help you make better housing decisions Who can participate? The focus groups are open to University of Waterloo undergraduate students . Students who currently rent or have previously rented off campus are especially encouraged to participate. Privacy The sessions will not be recorded , and your name will not be connected to what you share. What we learn will help inform WUSA’s housing work and a report shared wit h the WUSA Board and the City of Waterloo. Registration closes 24 hours before each session.
