Join us for elections and consider running for a role!\n\nExecutive Roles & What They Do\n\n(Summarized - please see the Constitution for full details and eligibility)\n\nPresident\n• Oversee WAGS & run meetings\n• Liaise with faculty, ESS, and student groups\n• Advocate for Geography students & monitor WAGS email\n\nVice President\n• Lead meetings in the President’s absence\n• Support President & step in for extended absences\n\nTreasurer\n• Manage WAGS budget & financial records\n• Submit cheque requests & handle event expenses\n• Coordinate with ESS\n\nSecretary\n• Take minutes & attendance\n• Distribute meeting notes promptly\n\nEvents Directors (up to 2)\n• Plan and organize WAGS events\n• Book spaces, submit WUSA forms, coordinate logistics\n• Work with Communications & Treasurer\n• Debrief events afterward\n\nCommunications Director\n• Promote events (socials, posters, emails)\n• Run WAGS social media & update the lounge board\n• Coordinate with professors & advisors\n• Document events and engage with students online\n\nAcademic Representative\n• Collect student feedback\n• Attend GEM department meetings & speak for undergrads\n• Give reports, represent student concerns, and share updates\n\nESS Representative\n• Attend ESS meetings & secure funding\n• Promote WAGS events through ESS\n• Communicate ESS updates to WAGS\n\nWESEF Representative\n• Attend WESEF meetings & advocate for Geography students\n• Prepare proposals when needed\n\nGEM Representative\n• Must be a GEM student\n• Advocate for GEM interests & promote WAGS to GEM cohort\n\nGDS Representative\n• Must be a GDS student\n• Represent GDS concerns & help advertise events\n\nCEC Representative\n• Must be a CEC student\n• Voice CEC concerns & promote WAGS initiatives\n\nIf you’re passionate about community, leadership, and shaping the Geography experience at Waterloo, this is your chance.\n\nSee you January 12th! 💚
