Reading Circle: Unbarred And Free

Join our community reading circle of the Prisoner’s Issue of the New York War Crimes, a paper written by Writers Against the War On Gaza (WAWOG) and the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM). This edition features new archival pieces, some translated to English for the first time: interviews from the Ashkelon prison, testimonies from Sde Teiman, conversations between hunger strikers in the UK and Palestine, accounts wrested from the depths of solitary confinement. It also features stories from Gaza and Lebanon, exploring the creeping yellow line, a clear representation of the project of “Greater Israel”. The cruelties of the Zionist project are without modern parallel, but the prisoners’ movement has persisted through its discipline, organizational strength, and clear-hearted resistance at each turn. Prisoners remain the compass of the movement for liberation, and we look forward to strengthening our struggle through solidarity in shared knowledge.
