Want to make a game in just 72 hours? The UW Game Jam is BACK for Winter 2026. SIGN UP IN THE LINK IN BIO! A Game Jam is a 72-hour sprint to make a game from start to finish in a single weekend. In a team or solo, you can join the process of conceptualizing, designing, and building a game, culminating in a showcase of your work. No experience necessary to make a great game and have a good time! This term, we're doing it as part of the Global Game Jam, one of the largest annual game jams in the world, from January 29th to February 1st. FAQ: Do I need any experience? Nope! Anyone of any skill level, or with any artistic talent, can participate and have fun. Do I need to make a video game? Nope! You can make a video game, but you can also make card games, board games, interactive fiction, or any game-related thing you can dream up. We will ask that you submit it on itch though Do I need to work for 72 hours straight? Nope! We really do hope you take breaks! Even if you only have a few hours in the weekend, you can still make something great. Can I join remotely? Yes! Remote teams can totally participate by joining our Discord server (link also in bio).
