Community engagement can often feel like an afterthought or simply a checklist for many transportation professionals, but public consultation is not only a legal requirement for various types of projects, meaningful and equitable input from the community is also vital to the long-term success of new infrastructure. In this session, Claire Basinski from Take Consulting and Ryan Lo from Urban Minds will share their experience of designing intentional and fun engagement processes for transportation projects, with a focus on engaging with children and youth.
