Banks Off Campus Booth: Say No to Funding PRGT

Drop by our booth on November 6th, between 12:30 and 4:30 to learn how we can divest from fossil fuel funding banks. A wave of legislation, including federal bill C5, which rolls back environmental reviews and bypasses Indigenous consent on “projects of national interest,” opens the doors for Canada’s big 5 banks to pour even more money into climate wrecking liquified natural gas (LNG) projects, among them the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT) pipeline. RBC, TD, CIBC, BMO and Scotiabank have an egregious track record on climate and Indigenous rights, funding billions in projects that threaten our futures. Join students on 14 campuses across the country in taking action today in solidarity with land defenders. We are calling on RBC, TD, BMO, CIBC and Scotiabank to show leadership and say no to PRGT and LNG on Indigenous lands.
